It’s not the CPU consumption. Not even close.

It’s the faulty product. By the time you have red  these 20 words, a new Flash exploit has been found. And this is a fact. I don’t care about my phone battery, i care about occupying 100% of my processor after i have closed the tab on my laptop. It’s crashing my browser for no reason at all. It’s taking a very very long time to start a video.

That is all. People want FLash dead the same way they want Internet Explorer dead. They got burned too many times because of a dumb product for them not to want something better. And because the mighty Adobe gods sat on their asses, the same way Microsoft did with IE, makes the user even more angry.

“Yea, we know it sucks, but you can’t live without it”

is not a proper strategy
