Ian Clifton makes a lot of good points about the superiority of Android over iOS. I agree with him on all counts, Android is a technologically better product.

But…

iOS does a very good job at keeping things simple and a lot of users want that. I don’t want a widget on my screen. I really don’t. I want a beautiful phone with a fast OS. Apple does that.

And mr. Clifton leaves out one little thing: Android users are very vocal, but programming for Android does not pay. It has a 70% marketshare, but developers are not happy with the money they make with their apps for that platform. So of course people in charge take it as a standard.
