1. You go at 20 conferences a year. You have 3-4 workshops a year. When do you have time to experiment and find new ideas to speak of at these events? Do you have new ideas and experiences to tell? Or do you just rewrite what the big boys have found out a year ago and published last month?
  2. So, if I do not find out anything new, why go? To listen to new people blab about what they just found out from old people?
  3. I do expect to be paid if the organizer charges companies to meet me.

Memorable speakers and speaking gigs tend to stick into people’s mind if they come out of personal experiences. Always ask yourself who is the person speaking and what he has done so far.
